Build logs grow up: real per-project narrative, not just line counts
Rolling productivity log for the 100x Engineer velocity dashboard. Today’s work wasn’t on any single tracked project — it was on the build-log pipeline itself: shipping the infrastructure to pull real per-project commit history, then finding and fixing two real bugs that kept that data from actually reaching a build-log session. Cumulative portfolio still climbed to 9,256 commits and 4.23M retained source lines along the way.

Build logs can now name real projects, not just line counts
Confirmed two open questions on the daily-digest infrastructure (PR #108, merged): yes to naming specific projects in this log — Ambient Scribe (iOS, Android, desktop, Chrome extension, backend), Care Companion Calls, marketing/GTM work — and narrative-bearing posts stay as draft PRs for review, never auto-merged. Then wired the digest script into the velocity Action itself (PR #112) so every run now pulls real per-day commit subjects, grouped by project, across all 14 tracked codebases — not just aggregate line counts.
Found and fixed a real upload bug in the new pipeline
First real run (workflow_dispatch #211) confirmed the digest correctly read 120 days of history across every repo — but the artifact never appeared. Root cause: GitHub's upload-artifact action excludes hidden dotfiles by default, and the digest deliberately writes to a gitignored dotfile so it never gets committed. One-line fix (PR #113): include-hidden-files: true.
Blob storage was blocked; added a job-log fallback instead
GitHub Actions artifacts are backed by Azure Blob Storage, and that host turned out to be blocked outright by a real network egress policy — the artifact was reachable in theory but not in practice. Added a second path (PR #114): mirror the last 10 days of digest data straight into the job's own log output, which goes through ordinary GitHub API endpoints instead. Confirmed end-to-end with a live run: real commit history now flows from all 14 repos through to something a build-log session can actually read.
Pipeline validated end-to-end
A live run confirmed the digest correctly reads real commit subjects from every tracked repo — including 114 days of activity on the Ambient Scribe backend, 33 on iOS, 19 on Android, 17 on desktop, and 5 on the Chrome extension — and that data now actually reaches a build-log-writing session, closing the loop this log’s own infrastructure opened.
