XYZ are operational!

The X, Y and Z axis are operational now. Still have to add gussets for support, tie the plasma into it, wire in the limit switches, finish weld it and build a water table to hold the material.

Built the main frame for the CNC table and got the gantry in place with the motors mounted.

This update covers about 5 evening worth of work over the past 2-3 weeks. The base of the gantry support is built using 1.5" and 1" sq stock. The gantry was adapted from the old robotic tape libraries to the support table. The stepper motors from CandCNC.Com were adapted to the Gantry using Aluminum plates. I then built an adapter for the Z axis to attach to the slide I bought about a year ago. More in the Original Post In the link or Below..

Designed table base for CNC table

I spent some time in BendTech designing the table base for the CNC table. The end size will be about 5'x5'. The frame will be made of 1.5"x.065 wall Sq tubing and sit about 36-40" off the floor after the casters are installed. More details in the original post below

Ftoy Crane..

So I bought a bandsaw that weighs too much for me to move off the trailer and it was to awkward to move without a forklift so I decided it was time to build a crane. I started with some 2" pipe and the ftoy. Pretty basic setup but it works well and lifted the bandsaw of the trailer with ease. The load does fully compress the suspension down to the bump stops because the springs are so soft but it still works. Well on to the photos ....

Winter Upgrades etc

Well I've decided to make a few changes. I've been disappointed with the 22r from day 1. It just doesn't have the torque I want for the wet weather wheeling and muddy hill climbs. So I'm dropping in a 4.3 and a th350 trans mated to the Toy cases.
