I built a gusset for the rear axle similar to Hobies on the #10 rig. I had to do it along the back of the axle because the has the inspection port on it and the track bar mount. I had to do the gusset east coast style using some nice diamond plate :).
Took some spare plate from the skid plate to use for the rear lower shock tabs. (I hate to throw steel away so I use as much scrap as I can.)

Tabs cut out for lowers.

Rear axle before any more work.

Here is the material I decided to use for the rear gussets. I chose it because its diamond plate just so I would have some East Coast Ftoy style on the rig)

Cut away from the C Channel. I cut 4 4.5" sections out of this using the plasma.

C-Channel left over I will use for another project.

One rear gusset plate cut.

Built the rear step... errr gusset. Its 3/16" Diamond plate and some 1.5" sq tubing.

Put some 7* shims on the front axle and it straightened up the diff. Needs a High Pinion third

Here are those shock tabs I made. More on those later.

What it looks like after today. (no noticable difference)

Rear axle hangin out back. To bad Ftoys aren't linked buggies because I like the look of this departure angle.

Thats it for today.
Thanks for Looking..
