I'm behind on updates so here goes. Knuckles painted, Axles cleaned, Frame welded, Skid built

Very dirty Hub and Nuckle.  Almost 30 year old Alabama Gunk.

All cleaned up.

Installing flanges and dowels.

Before drilling

Hammering the dowels in.

All Installed

Taped off the knuckles and other parts to paint them

Painted

Got new rotors and IFS calipers for the front.

Back down to basics

Turned the frame around so it will be easier to put the motor back in.

On rotisserie for welding.

Welded it up.

Tracing out frame on some plate for the belly.

1/4" plate for the belly setup for some plasma goodness.

A little bit cut out.

All cut out and a radius put on the corners to avoid sharp edges.

Sitting back on the frame

Cleaned up with flapdisk

Built these little deals from 1.75"x.120 hrew and some washers for 3/4" bolt and some 3/4" bolts and nuts. These are to keep the bolt heads recessed (Thanks for the idea east coast John)

Cut some 1.75" holes in the skid and tacked the supports on.

The skid hanger are now on the frame and I welded these onto the skid solid.

Bottom of skid painted black.

Bottom of frame painted before I take it off the rotisserie so I don't have to try to paint from underneath it.

Started on rear axle

Tommorow finish axles and get them under the frame with the leaf springs.

Put the motor back in and the chassis back on then start building some supports for the chassis.

Hope to have it on its feet by sunday so I can roll it around.
