I started off by cutting out the original rear xmember then cleaned some frame.

  In the beginning

Gone!

After doing that I decided to go ahead with the new one tonight.  I took the sq stock and notched it out to fit.
Marked the new stock for cutting.

Then I took a load binder and chain to pull the frame back in to fit snug with the new rear xmember.

I then tacked it in place. I also cleaned up the stock :)

Next I threw in the inboarded rear spring hangers with a vice grip to see where they should go. I also hung the spring just to start getting a real ideo of where to put this stuff...

This rear shackle angle I have no idea about. I still have to look at some other build logs to figure out what it should look like.  Also I will need to level out the frame again before I decide on anything.

I'm still contemplating the wacky rock shackle with the hanger on top of the rear xmember.  I might go that route for kicks.

Thats it for tonight.
