Axle Shim Install Minimize

The Xterra has been very cumbersome on the trail rides lately! Always having trouble with the heat and the front driveshaft. So after the last trip to harlan I discovered the issue. (Yah it took me two breakdowns to figure out why its happening) The front yokes are binding due to the high pinion angle. So now to install some axle shims to see if that helps.

The Xterra has  been very cumbersome on the trail rides lately!  Always having trouble with the heat and the front driveshaft.  So after the last trip to harlan I discovered the issue. (Yah it took me two breakdowns to figure out why its happening)  The front yokes are binding due to the high pinion angle.  So now to install some axle shims to see if that helps.  I ordered 2 sets of shims. (3° and 5°)  I installed the 3° first and wasn't to pleased so I switched to 5°.  This put my caster at 0°. which i'm kinda weiry of since the recommended is like 1-2°.  Oh well It drives ok on the highway.  Below are the pics!
