OK I rebuilt the hubs and they are ready to go. I noticed I have two different nuts that hold the bearings in place on each side.

OK Today was a long day. I had struggled with these U Joints yesterday and couldn't get them to budge. I bought a press and everything. So today I took some super Liquid Wrench and threw it on everyhing I needed to work on.

Well The Superflex U Joints showed up from Tom Woods Driveshaft. (These things are pretty nice.) I got a 1350 and a 1310. The 1350 is for the bottom and the 1310 is what a nissan tx10 tcase uses.

OK my X was overheating at crawl speed and when climbing hills pushing 4-5k rpm doing about 40-50 mph. So after replacing the Water Pump, Redoing the timing, replacing the belt, tensioner pully, I decided the fan needed a shroud. So here are the pics.

OK the last trip to harlan I broke a tab on my 1350 yoke which resulted in needle bearings all over the trail and my weekend being cut short. I want to see if the yokes still bind for my axle shim install so i welded it up using the plasma cutter to make a piece to replace the tab and the stick welder to put the new tab on the yoke.I have ordered a new one but in the mean time I tried to make this one workable and good enough for a spare on the trail.

The Xterra has been very cumbersome on the trail rides lately! Always having trouble with the heat and the front driveshaft. So after the last trip to harlan I discovered the issue. (Yah it took me two breakdowns to figure out why its happening) The front yokes are binding due to the high pinion angle. So now to install some axle shims to see if that helps.
